Even stone cold sober
Alone with just my memories
My body whispers reminders of your breath
Your growls
Your smell (God I could live inside the curve of your armpit)
My body betrays me as I long for your quiet reassurance, yet still miss eating dessert
Until alone the pinpricks intrude
“Am I really lovable or do I just have soul snatching pum pum?”
When all I needed was for you to tell me just once I wasn’t on that limb by myself
Tell me how I drove you crazy because this, not only that, was soul searching too
